Byzantium Saffron takes inspiration from the Muda della Tana e di Romania. The Muda della Tana e di Romania sailed alongside the Greek coasts, calling at the cities of Athens and then onto Constantinople and the Black Sea. Amongst the main raw materials traded in this area, particularly important to the Venetian market were musk, nutmeg, saffron and benzoin resin extracted from the storax plant.
The fragrance opens with a shimmering blend of saffron, cinnamon, and bergamot, immediately drawing you into its spicy warmth. At the heart lies a floral-spicy accord of white suede, jasmine, and black violet, lending elegance and a velvety texture. The base unfolds with deep, resinous amber, patchouli, and crystalized white musk, creating a luxurious and long-lasting trail.
