''A citrus fruit, the grapefruit, was missing to conclude this olfactory citrus journey of mine in Italy. Originally from Asia, where it is revered and represents an offering to the gods, it appeared in Seville, Spain, around the 12th-13th centuries. like most citrus fruits, during the rule of the Arabs, excellent travelers. Probably the greatest among citrus fruits, I love grapefruit for its bitterness; bitterness is for me part of the smells intelligent, unlike the sweet which I find easy and uninteresting. This is perhaps because of my Italian origins since that amaro in Italy is celebrated in many drinks. In this fragrance I worked not only on the lively and acidic freshness, typical of grapefruit, but I accentuated the bitter scent to distinguish it, make it unique.''
