Created in 1921 by Gabrielle Chanel and perfumer Ernest Beaux, N°5 was a visionary, avant-garde fragrance - an abstract scent in an era of single-note florals. In 2008, Jacques Polge, reinterpreted his predecessor's radical composition by approaching N°5 from a new angle, revealing its hidden side: Eau Premiere, a light, airy, luminous version of the now and forever fragrance.
The voluptuousness of Ylang-Ylang from the Comoros blends into the harmonious and delicate facets of May Rose and Jasmine. The Ylang-Ylang here is more discreet, giving softness and transparency to the top notes. The opulence of Jasmine from Grasse is more sheer, revealing a soft and subtle facet of N°5. Aldehydes grant it a unique presence, and the smooth touch of Vanilla and musky notes create an incredibly feminine trail.
